Head of Insights & Analytics – Claims

AXIS (AXIS Capital) · Princeton, NJ · 3 wk ago
Hybrid$175k–$200k/yrFull-time
We need to output HTML fragment with sections: About the role? The posting includes intro about AXIS, then "How does this role contribute to our collective success?" then "What will you do in this role?" then "What do we expect of you?" then "Success Measures / Key Outcomes" then "Role Factors: In office 3 days per week" then "What we offer:" includes salary range, incentive, benefits, FLSA exempt. We must not repeat job title as heading. Use

for section headings: About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. We need to map content to these headings appropriately. The instructions: "use

for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule)." So we can choose which sections to include based on content. Must include a section only when posting has real, specific content for it — never emit heading followed by filler/placeholder text. So we need to decide which sections have content. We have content about role contribution, responsibilities (what you will do), expectations (experience, knowledge & skills, leadership characteristics), success measures (key outcomes), role factors (schedule), what we offer (pay, benefits). Also there is an introductory paragraph about AXIS and inclusive culture etc. That could be "About the role" or maybe "About the company"? But they said "About the role" as an example heading. We could put the introductory description under "About the role". That seems appropriate. We must not include Job ID etc. Remove boilerplate like EEO etc. The posting includes an EEO paragraph: "All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to any protected characteristic..." That's boilerplate; we should remove it. Also remove cookie/navigation/legal/EEO etc. So we drop that paragraph. Also remove duplicated lines, application instructions (none). Also remove "This posting is for an existing vacancy." maybe minor metadata; we can fold into short p or drop. Probably drop. We need to preserve all substantive information. So we need to keep the description of AXIS, the role contribution, responsibilities, expectations, success measures, role factors, what we offer (pay, benefits). Also maybe "Qualifications" vs "Requirements" vs "Skills". The posting includes "What do we expect of you?" which includes Experience, Knowledge & Skills, Leadership Characteristics. We could map Experience to Requirements, Knowledge & Skills to Skills, Leadership Characteristics to Qualifications? Or we could combine. But we need to follow headings: About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. We can decide to include those that have content. Let's extract: About the role: introductory paragraph about AXIS and role contribution? Actually "How does this role contribute to our collective success?" is a description of role purpose. Could be under About the role. We'll include that. Responsibilities: "What will you do in this role?" with bullet points (actually paragraphs with bold headings). We'll convert each bullet to
  • under
. Requirements: maybe "Experience leading analytics, business intelligence, data or AI teams." etc. That's under "What do we expect of you?" first bullet. Could be Requirements. Qualifications: maybe "Experience partnering with Claims, Insurance Operations, Actuarial or Reserving functions within the insurance industry." That's also under expectations. Could be Qualifications. Skills: "Knowledge & Skills" section includes bullet points: Strong understanding of insurance claims processes..., Strong stakeholder management..., Ability to balance..., Knowledge of modern analytics..., Ability to operate effectively within a complex matrix organisation. That's Skills. Benefits: "What we offer:" includes benefits package description. We'll put under Benefits. Pay: salary range and incentive compensation. We'll put under Pay. Schedule: "Role Factors: In office 3 days per week". That's schedule. We also have Success Measures / Key Outcomes. That could be under Responsibilities? Or maybe a separate section but not in the list of allowed headings. The allowed headings list does not include "Success Measures". We could incorporate under Responsibilities or maybe under Qualifications? But we should not create a heading not in the list unless we have content? The instruction: "use

for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule)." It says e.g., implying those are examples, but we should likely stick to those headings. It also says "include a section ONLY when the posting has real, specific content for it — never emit a heading followed by filler/placeholder text". So we can create other headings if needed? The examples are just examples; but safer to stick to those headings. However we have success measures content that is substantive; we could place it under Responsibilities or maybe under Qualifications? But it's more like outcomes. Could be under Responsibilities as part of what you will do? Actually success measures are how success measured; could be under Responsibilities or maybe under Qualifications? I'd put under Responsibilities as a subsection? But we need to use
      • for lists. We could make a

for Success Measures? Not in the list but maybe allowed as e.g. The instruction says "use

for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule)." The "e.g." suggests those are examples, not exhaustive. But to be safe, we could create a section "Success Measures" as

. However the instruction also says "Prefer a few substantive sections over many thin ones." So maybe we can integrate success measures into Responsibilities or Requirements. I think we can incorporate success measures into Responsibilities as a bullet list of outcomes expected. But the posting already has a separate "Success Measures / Key Outcomes" with bullet points. We could treat that as part of Responsibilities (what you will do) or as a separate section "Success Measures". Since the instruction says e.g., we can use other headings if needed. I'd create a

        Success Measures

        with
        • . That seems reasonable. But we must not repeat job title as heading. Not an issue. We must not include minor metadata like Job ID / requisition numbers as headings — fold minor metadata into a short

or drop it. We have "Role Factors: In office 3 days per week" which we will put under Schedule heading. We also have "Where this role is based in the United States of America, this role is Exempt for FLSA purposes." That's minor metadata; we could fold into a short

under Schedule or Benefits? Probably under Schedule as a note. We also have "This posting is for an existing vacancy." minor; drop. Now produce HTML. Structure:

We need to ensure we didn't include any boilerplate like EEO. We removed that. Check for any leftover boilerplate: The intro includes "This is your opportunity to join AXIS Capital – a trusted global provider of specialty lines insurance and reinsurance. We stand apart for our outstanding client service, intelligent risk taking and superior risk adjusted returns for our shareholders. We also proudly maintain an entrepreneurial, disciplined and ethical corporate culture. As a member of AXIS, you join a team that is among the best in the industry. Data, analytics and AI are critical enablers of AXIS' strategic ambitions. The Head of Insights & Analytics – Claims will lead the delivery of insights, analytics and AI solutions that support Claims teams in making better, faster and more informed decisions. We should include that in About the role. Now "What will you do in this role?" includes several bold headings: Strategic Partnership with Claims Leadership, Lead Delivery of Claims Insights & Analytics, Partner Closely with Reserving, Lead AI and Automation Opportunities, Deliver Business Value, Stakeholder Engagement and Influence, Leadership and Team Development, Governance and Standards. Each has description. We'll turn each into
