Head of Industry, Retail

For our client, we are seeking a Head of Industry, Retail to join the team of a leader in the Business Services space. This role will own the strategy and growth of the retail vertical, with a strong emphasis on building senior relationships across retailers, agencies, and advertisers. The position will shape go-to-market direction, elevate market awareness, and help drive adoption of the company's advertising solutions in a rapidly evolving retail landscape. The ideal candidate will combine deep retail advertising expertise with the ability to lead teams, influence executive stakeholders, and accelerate revenue growth. Location: Los Angeles, CA - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $225,000 – $250,000 annually Responsibilities Scale the retail business through strategic partnerships with top retailers Position the company as a leading AI-powered platform for retail advertising Drive industry awareness through thought leadership and client education Grow brand-direct demand and accelerate agency adoption in retail Develop a go-to-market strategy to strengthen the company's presence among retail organizations Partner with agencies and advertisers to respond to evolving retail trends and market needs Recruit and mentor a high-performing team focused on retail success Qualifications 15+ years of advertising experience, with a focus on retail brands 5+ years in a brand-direct, agency, or ad tech role within retail Demonstrated success in building executive relationships and driving revenue Expertise in programmatic advertising across formats including CTV and Digital Out-of-Home Experience leading and developing high-performing sales teams Benefits Fully paid health insurance for employees Paid parental leave to support family growth Unlimited PTO for work-life balance Professional development opportunities Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
