About the role

Reports to: Director of Demand Generation

GitGuardian is a global cybersecurity scale-up. The company is based in Paris, New-York City, Boston. Among our early investors who saw our market value proposition, are the co-founder of GitHub, Scott Chacon, along with Docker's co-founder, Solomon Hykes. American and European top-tier VC firms have also invested in GitGuardian who raised its series C early 2026. GitGuardian helps enterprises close credential-based breach paths. It finds secrets wherever they live, prioritizes remediation based on rich context, and prevents new exposure across code, systems, and AI. The GitGuardian platform is already used by more than 600K developers worldwide and by 50 of the Fortune 500!

Your Team And Your Mission

Events are one of our top three pipeline engines and we are hiring our new Head of Global Field marketing to support our growth. We believe human interactions and exceptional events experience can be a differentiator. This is a player-coach role. You will own GitGuardian's global field marketing function end to end: strategy, team, and pipeline. You will lead a team of three field marketers across North America and EMEA, set the global event strategy, and carry the number. And because we believe leaders should stay close to the work, you will personally deliver some flagship events in Europe and in the US.

Your Main Responsibilities

  • Own the global field marketing number to contribute to the overall pipeline goal in 2026 and beyond
  • Build and run a global event program with clear tiering, and a calendar that maps to pipeline rather than activity
  • Lead and develop a team of three field marketers, with each report accountable for their regional number
  • Deliver memorable experiences across all events organized by the team
  • Personally deliver GitGuardian's flagship events
  • Partner with Sales and BDR teams: coach reps on event behavior and follow-ups
  • Forecast, track, and defend a 7-figure annual budget across regions
  • Report to the executive team on pipeline impact with clean attribution

About You

  • You have owned a multi-region event portfolio and set its strategy, not just executed single events
  • You have personally carried and hit a sourced or influenced pipeline number, and you are fluent in MQL to SQL to opp to pipeline economics
  • You have forecast, tracked, and defended large annual budgets across regions
  • You have coached AEs and BDRs on event behavior and follow-up, treating them as partners rather than execution resources
  • Sales-first mindset: you optimize for pipeline impact over attendance, and you know the difference between activity and impact
  • Hands-on and pragmatic: you organize, focus, and implement, because ideas are even better once they ship
  • Grace under pressure and attention to detail: you run multiple live events and handle on-site incidents without dropping quality

The following skills would strengthen your application but aren't required

  • A player-coach track record: you have managed two or more field marketers and developed them while still operating hands-on yourself
  • You can personally run flagship events and are comfortable on-site and in-market
  • US Enterprise experience: you will have an F500 focus
  • RevOps and automation tooling: HubSpot, Customer.io, Salesforce, Clay, n8n for event promotion, lead routing, and attribution

About the interview process

  • Video call with a recruiter: To discover your professional project and evaluate if there could be a mutual match
  • Interview with your future manager, the Director of Demand Gen: To go deep on your field and event leadership, how you carry a pipeline number, and how you lead a team while staying hands-on
  • Tech test / Business case: To evaluate how you would set global event strategy and build the program for GitGuardian
  • Final interview with an Executive Manager and the CEO — To share our vision and ambitions and assess cultural fit
  • References check — Start thinking about 2-3 contacts who can attest to your recent professional experiences. We will call them at the end of the process.

Benefits

  • 25 days of PTO (employees are strongly encouraged to use all of it)
  • 10 public holidays
  • Health, Dental & Vision insurance (80% coverage), for individuals and their families
  • Short term & long term disability insurance (100% paid)
  • Up to $300 towards your home office set-up
  • Monthly remote work stipend of up to $70

  • Referral bonus of $4000 for any new Guardians we might hire thanks to you
