Head of Financial Transformation and Strategic Initiatives

About the Role

We are looking for a VP, Finance Transformation & Strategic Initiatives to lead the modernization of a high-growth Finance function within an insurance client. This is a highly visible role partnering directly with the CFO and senior leadership to drive transformation across Finance, systems, data, processes, and operating models.

Responsibilities

• Own the Finance transformation roadmap and strategic priorities.
• Lead major Finance transformation and technology initiatives from strategy through execution.
• Drive process improvement, automation, and operating model redesign.
• Modernize Finance systems, reporting, and data infrastructure.
• Partner across Accounting, FP&A, Treasury, Actuarial, Investments, and Technology.
• Establish strong project governance, manage risks, and deliver measurable results.
• Advise the CFO and executive leadership on major initiatives and investment decisions.
• Support M&A, integrations, reinsurance transactions, and other strategic projects.

Requirements

• 12+ years across Finance, Accounting, Consulting, Transformation, or Financial Services.
• Proven experience leading large-scale Finance transformation.
• Experience in the life/annuities insurance industry is highly desirable.
• Strong Finance + technology / systems / data understanding.
• Comfortable operating with C-suite stakeholders.
• Insurance, reinsurance, or broader financial services experience preferred.
• Experience with ERP, reporting, automation, or data transformation strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• CPA, CFA, MBA, or equivalent is a plus.
