About Treeswift

We empower energy companies to modernize their field work to meet the growth and challenges ahead. Our platform, built on cutting-edge hardware, sensors, and AI, revolutionizes work in the toughest environments.

Treeswift was founded in midtown Manhattan, with offices in San Francisco and Philadelphia. We have raised funding from leading investors including Penny Pritzker’s Inspired Capital. We are currently growing rapidly, working with three of the five largest utilities in the US.

To build the future of (field) work, we are seeking a Head of Finance to join our mission-driven team. This role requires strategic thinking, financial acumen, and the ability to influence decision-making in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

The Position

We are hiring our first Head of Finance at a pivotal stage of company growth. With a proven product and a team of experts in robotics and enterprise software, we are now focusing on scaling our enterprise technology company.

This role involves shaping company strategy, driving high-impact financial and operational decisions, and developing the financial foundation required for sustainable growth. It is a unique opportunity to bring sound judgment and influence to decisions even when data is incomplete.

What You'll Do

  • Partner closely with the CEO and leadership team to shape company strategy and drive high-impact financial and operational decision-making across GTM, Engineering, Operations, and expansion initiatives.

  • Own and evolve the company's long-range financial model, translating complex enterprise deal structures, hardware economics, and growth drivers into actionable insights and recommendations.

  • Lead strategic planning, scenario modeling, and capital allocation decisions to support sustainable growth.

  • Develop pricing and monetization strategy grounded in customer value and a deep understanding of our business model.

  • Support fundraising and investor engagement, including financial storytelling, diligence readiness, and capital strategy.

Financial Planning, Analysis and Reporting

  • Define and operationalize the financial and business metrics that matter most, creating visibility into company performance and informing executive decision-making.

  • Partner cross-functionally to improve business economics across gross margin, deployment efficiency, customer acquisition, retention, and long-term profitability.

  • Build scalable forecasting, planning, and reporting processes that support rapid growth and increasing operational complexity.

  • Collaborate with Business Operations and other cross-functional leaders to strengthen financial rigor.

Who You Are

  • 10–15+ years of experience across strategic finance, FP&A, investment, or corporate finance, with increasing ownership and influence.

  • Experience scaling a venture-backed enterprise technology company through multiple stages of growth, ideally from Series A or B through Series D, IPO, or acquisition.

  • A strong track record of influencing executive-level strategic decisions, not simply reporting on business performance.

  • Deep understanding of enterprise business models, including complex pricing structures, long-term contracts, and value-based pricing.

  • Experience operating in high-growth, ambiguous environments where finance plays a central role in shaping company direction.

  • Strong financial modeling and analytical capabilities, with the ability to connect financial insights to broader business strategy.

  • Experience supporting fundraising, investor relations, board preparation, and strategic finance initiatives.

  • Executive presence and communication skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and leadership.

What We Offer

  • Competitive medical, dental, and vision coverage for you and your eligible dependents.

  • Life insurance and short- and long-term disability coverage.

  • Meaningful equity.

  • 16 weeks of fully paid parental leave to support all new parents.

  • Flexible, unlimited paid time off.

  • 401(k) retirement savings plan.

  • Free OneMedical membership.

  • Commuter benefits.

  • Snacks, goodies, and team lunches provided twice a week to keep you fueled and connected with your colleagues.

Values

  • Mission first.

  • Curiosity.

  • Owners mindset.
