About the Team

The Product Engineering organization builds, maintains, and improves the end-user experiences of our software platform. These full-stack solutions are built atop a complex data platform supporting key security workflows for third-party risk management and security self-assessment. The team also modernizes our data engineering infrastructure to service both current and next-generation products.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a globally distributed team of 40–50 engineers and engineering managers across multiple time zones.
  • Develop and execute the strategic vision for Product Engineering, balancing investment in existing products, platform migration, and new product development.
  • Own the health and performance of SecurityScorecard’s existing product suite while building for the future.
  • Drive the migration of existing products onto the Titan platform, managing complexity and risk while maintaining operational stability.
  • Partner with Product and Design to build new features and products on the Titan platform.
  • Oversee data engineering, including modernization of Scala/Spark-based infrastructure.
  • Champion SecurityScorecard’s AI-first engineering transformation, guiding practical AI adoption while maintaining quality and predictability.
  • Drive adoption of engineering best practices, architecture standards, and continuous improvement.
  • Define and track meaningful engineering metrics and KPIs.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Design, and other stakeholders to define requirements and roadmaps.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain top engineering talent, providing coaching and career development.
  • Manage the product engineering budget, ensuring financial accountability and resource optimization.
  • Engage directly with customers to gather feedback and translate insights into engineering priorities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10–12 years of software engineering experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role managing large, distributed teams.
  • Proven experience in a B2B SaaS environment.
  • Startup or high-growth technology company experience in a leadership capacity.
  • Experience managing engineering organizations of 25+ people in a manager-of-managers capacity (minimum 3 direct-report managers/squads).
  • Demonstrated experience leading large-scale platform or product migrations (V1-to-V2, legacy-to-modern transitions).
  • Hands-on experience with AI-assisted and agentic development practices; production experience preferred.
  • Credible engineering background with experience in Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, distributed systems, and large-scale data architectures.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, focused on delivering high-quality solutions at pace.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and practices.
  • Experience with TypeScript, Node.js, React, Scala, or Spark.

Pay

The estimated total compensation range for this position is $260,000–$320,000 (base plus bonus). Actual compensation varies based on skills, qualifications, experience, and other factors. Employees may also be eligible for annual performance-based incentive compensation and equity.
