Head of Developer Education, Kiro

About the role

The Head of Developer Education for Kiro is responsible for defining, building, and scaling Kiro’s developer experience and enablement. The role involves crafting a comprehensive education strategy that enhances developer adoption and mastery of Kiro’s AI agents.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership & Curriculum Design
• Define and refine Kiro’s developer education strategy and roadmap.
• Build structured learning paths and own the developer learning experience.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Support, and Marketing to improve product activation, retention, and usage.
• Technical Education Content
• Create high-impact education artifacts such as tutorials, walkthroughs, guides, and code samples.
• Translate complex AI concepts into clear, actionable lessons.
• Work with Engineering to align educational content with product changes.
• Feedback Loop & Product Insight
• Gather and communicate developer feedback to reduce friction and improve product quality.
• Use telemetry and user signals to measure and improve education impact.
• Developer Community & Programs
• Lead programs integrating education into community touchpoints.
• Enable internal and external educators to represent Kiro’s best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, or related STEM fields, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of experience in developer education, developer experience, developer relations, technical content leadership, or related roles.
• Deep technical fluency, understanding of developer workflows, and ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
• Proven success in creating structured learning paths and educational content that measurably improve user outcomes.
• Comfortable working cross-functionally with product, engineering, support, and community teams.
• Experience with AI-assisted or intelligent developer tools and familiarity with how developers adopt new paradigms.
