Head of Content Strategy & Operations
Pugs Media is a full-service short-form organic social media content agency for founders and business leaders. We handle strategy, production, and distribution end-to-end—our clients only need to show up for one monthly shoot with our videographers. We operate like a tech company, leveraging custom-built AI tools and infrastructure to scale efficiently without bloating the team. This means more ownership, trust, and upside for everyone on the team.
About the role
You will lead content strategy for every client we serve and direct the content system we’ve built. You’ll also run point on client operations as our co-founder’s right hand, touching every part of how we deliver. As we grow, this role evolves into running the entire content operation and managing future hires.
Responsibilities
- Client strategy: Set the content direction for each client and work with the team and our systems to execute it.
- Quality gate: Ensure nothing reaches a client without senior review—your eyes and judgment are the final check.
- Directing the system: Steer our AI-powered tools, tune outputs per client, and decide what ships. Your expertise multiplies the system’s impact.
- Client operations: Act as the co-founder’s right hand—prep for calls, follow through afterward, manage calendars, deadlines, and client communications.

- Demonstrated experience in short-form social media.
- Exceptional organization and attention to detail.
- Reliable, punctual, and accountable to deadlines.
- Clear, strong writing skills.
- Takes initiative and operates independently.
- Leverages AI effectively without over-relying on it.
- Pushes to improve systems rather than just operating within them.
How we work
This is a startup—expect non-standard hours and high expectations, balanced by significant upside. We’re intentionally small, with a backend built to scale to 8-9 figures while keeping headcount under 10. Success here requires a driven, hungry team willing to invest now for long-term rewards.
Pay
$50,000 to $100,000 base salary (depending on experience and fit), plus bonuses, benefits, and equity tied to a future company sale. Details shared at the offer stage.
Location
Remote (US-based). In-person work in Miami is a plus but not required.
