Responsibilities
- Own the content strategy across organic search, social, video, written, podcast, and creator enablement.
- Define what we do, what we do not do, and why.
- Set and maintain the editorial bar.
- Establish the production workflows, the quality standard, and the cadence the team can sustain.
- Lead with the work. In your first phase, you will write, produce, and ship a meaningful share of the content yourself.
- Build the team. Identify the right roles, hire the right people, and develop them.
- Drive measurable outcomes. Define a small set of content KPIs and build the reporting that ties content output to pipeline, signups, and revenue.
- Partner across the company. Coordinate with Growth, Product Marketing, Sales, and Product. Your work should compound theirs and vice versa.
- Use modern tools to expand output. Identify and deploy the AI workflows, automations, and editorial systems that let a small content team punch above its weight.
Requirements
- 8+ years in content marketing or content-led growth.
- You can show traffic, ranked positions, leads, and revenue impact tied to your work.
- Hands-on producer. You can write the article, script the video, brief the editor, and approve the final cut.
- Cross-format fluency. SEO articles, video scripts, social, case studies, podcasts, long-form.
- Deep working knowledge of how SaaS and creator businesses actually grow: positioning, offers, lead generation, conversion, retention. You can hold your own in a tactical conversation with a sophisticated operator.
- Strong organic search foundation. Keyword research, technical hygiene, internal linking, content briefs, and a credible point of view on AI search.
- Track record of hiring and developing content talent. You know how to interview, coach, and unblock.
- Operator mindset. You push for the best hook, not the "good enough" hook. You measure what you ship. You do not settle.
- Nice to Have: Lived experience in fitness, health, wellness, or an adjacent creator vertical. Familiarity with the creator economy ecosystem and the platforms creators use. Background as a creator yourself. You have built and monetized your own audience. Experience operating a podcast or video channel that found an audience. Comfort working with data tools, BI dashboards, and modern SEO platforms. A network you can tap for collaborations, and referrals.
