Head of Branch

Salary: Starting from £55,000.00 (depending on experience) + benefits. Working hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Permanent role based in Tiverton.

About The Role

Lloyd & Whyte, part of Benefact Group, are looking for a Head of Community Broking in Tiverton to lead our Community Broking team. Established in 2003, Lloyd & Whyte Community Broking Tiverton is a highly regarded broker specialising in tailored insurance solutions for Farming & Agriculture and Commercial Insurance.

As the Head of Community Broking Tiverton, you'll play a key role in leading the branch's continued growth and success. Using your insurance expertise and commercial knowledge, you'll drive business strategy, support and develop your team, and build lasting relationships with clients and the local community. This role involves being a visible and proactive leader, identifying new business opportunities, networking locally, and conducting client review meetings to ensure exceptional service.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing team, promoting a client-first culture through coaching, performance management, and continuous professional development.
• Drive sustainable business growth and retention by delivering the local business plan, maximising sales opportunities, and ensuring achievement of branch KPIs.
• Oversee the day-to-day management of the branch, ensuring effective use of people, processes, and resources to deliver operational excellence.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and underwriting standards while maintaining strong technical and market knowledge.
• Support strategic business objectives through continuous improvement initiatives, community engagement, and key project delivery.

Requirements

• Chartered Insurance Institute Certificate in Insurance.
• Proven experience in and expert knowledge of the UK commercial insurance industry.
• Confident ability to communicate, manage relationships, and build rapport with clients face-to-face to provide an excellent client experience.
• Ability to work in a regulated, compliant, and client-focused environment.
• Resourceful, organised, and deadline-driven with good time management and self-motivation.

Qualifications

Chartered Insurance Institute Diploma in Insurance (desirable).
