We are seeking a Head of AI Transformation & Enablement to serve as the orchestrator of this transformation – translating strategy into execution while shaping the operating model, governance, and prioritization that enable AI to scale effectively across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
- Enterprise AI Strategy & Enablement: Translate LifeStance’s enterprise strategy into a clear, pragmatic AI enablement roadmap, identifying priority use cases, sequencing, dependencies, and value hypotheses.
- AI Governance & Responsible Adoption: Define how the organization prioritizes AI investments, including establishing criteria, developing business cases, and conducting cost-benefit analyses to inform investment decisions. Serve as a central coordinator across Legal, Compliance, Privacy, Security, Clinical Leadership, and Technology to ensure responsible and compliant AI adoption.
- Program Leadership & Execution: Own end-to-end execution of AI enablement initiatives – from concept through scaled deployment and lifecycle management. Lead cross-functional workstreams with clarity across scope, timelines, milestones, and interdependencies. Anticipate risks, surface trade-offs early, and proactively resolve issues that threaten delivery, adoption, or trust. Establish execution cadence, accountability mechanisms, and transparent progress reporting for executive sponsors.
- Operating Model & Capability Building: Help define and operationalize the enterprise AI operating model – how ideas are surfaced, evaluated, built/bought, governed, scaled, and measured. Stand up and maintain core structures such as the AI Council, decision forums, and executive reporting cadence. Enable teams with the tools, processes, and guidance needed to apply AI effectively within their domains. Partner with Technology and Insights teams to ensure AI initiatives are supported by strong data foundations, performance measurement, and scalable infrastructure.
- Executive Thought Partnership & Change Leadership: Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders on AI-related decisions, trade-offs, investment priorities, and implications. Translate complex technical, operational, or regulatory considerations into clear executive-level narratives. Support enterprise change management by building alignment, momentum, and shared understanding across leaders and teams.
- Data, Metrics & Value Realization: Define and track success metrics across AI initiatives, including adoption, performance, risk indicators, and business impact. Ensure initiatives are grounded in clear business cases and deliver measurable ROI. Synthesize progress into clear, executive-ready insights that inform prioritization, investment decisions, and course correction.
Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred (MBA, MS, or similar)
- 7+ years of experience in strategy, program leadership, consulting, transformation, or technology-enabled operating roles, with significant time spent leading enterprise-scale initiatives
- Strong familiarity with AI concepts, use cases, and risks (e.g., generative AI, automation, clinical decision support, operational AI), even if not a hands-on technical builder
- Proven ability to design or operate governance models (AI, data, technology risk, compliance, or similar) and decision frameworks
- Exceptional influence and communication skills, with experience engaging senior executives without formal authority
- Calm, disciplined, and solutions-oriented under pressure
- Deep curiosity, strong judgment, and a bias toward responsible innovation

Compensation
$155,000 - $195,000 annually, with 20% annual bonus potential and long-term incentive plan eligibility
