About the role
The University Library is seeking an academic librarian with demonstrated leadership and acquisitions experience to fill the position of Head of Acquisitions.
Responsibilities
- Organizing the acquisition and delivery of digital and print collections to the Library and its users in the most effective and efficient ways possible.
- Managing the Library’s consortial agreements.
- Assisting the Associate University Librarian for Scholarly Resources in managing the Library’s collections and budget.
Requirements
- Experience in managing library acquisitions and consortial agreements.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Knowledge of library systems and technologies.
Qualifications
- A Master’s degree in Library Science or a related field.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in library acquisitions and/or product management.
- Experience working in a large academic library setting.
Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using library management software and consortial systems.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Pay
