About the role
Opportunity Propel Schools is seeking a Head Middle School Boys Basketball Coach for the 26-27 season starting this Winter.
Responsibilities
- Assemble his/her coaching staff
- Coordinate a middle school basketball program with the coaching team and/or athletic director
- Implement off-season programs in accordance with WPIAL/PIAA regulations
- Attend all required PIAA preseason coaching meetings and mandatory coaching certification/trainings
- Show strong communication and relationship building skills
- Participate in ongoing professional development
- Show a commitment to the Propel Habits
Requirements
- Up-to-date TB Test
- Act 34 Criminal Clearance
- Act 114 FBI Clearance
- Act 151 Child Abuse Clearance
- Mandated Reporter Training
Benefits
The position includes a seasonal stipend of $1,750. Please note that the stipend will be prorated for coaches who begin after the official start of the season.

Schedule
The 2026-2027 Middle School Boys Basketball season is scheduled to begin on January 4th, 2027 and is anticipated to conclude in March, although the season may end earlier/later depending on if the team participates in postseason.
