2026-2027 Middle School Boys Basketball Coach

North Callaway R-1 School District is seeking a 7th Grade Assistant Boys Basketball Coach for the 2025-2026 school year.

About the role

The successful candidate will assist in coaching the 7th Grade Boys Basketball team. Responsibilities include game preparation, player development, and team management. The position requires a strong commitment to the success of the team and the district.

Responsibilities

• Assist in game preparation
• Develop and implement player training programs
• Manage team logistics and schedules
• Attend and participate in team meetings
• Work closely with the head coach and other staff members

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Education or related field
• Experience coaching youth basketball
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively with students, parents, and community members

Qualifications

• Pass a background check
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to travel to home games and tournaments

• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Strong leadership abilities
• Ability to manage time effectively
