Head Lifeguard
Responsibilities
- Address patron concerns and provide frontline customer service
- Coordinate emergency response efforts per YWCA’s Emergency Action Plan
- Communicate schedule changes and updates to staff and patrons
- Ensure lifeguard rotation and break schedules are followed
- Adjust water features and programs to suit patron needs
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of the Aquatics Area
- Track and replenish first aid and safety supplies
- Assist with administrative and programming duties as assigned
- Provide lifeguard or swim instruction coverage when needed
Requirements
- Current accredited Lifeguarding Certification or the ability to obtain the certification at the time of hire
- Prior experience lifeguarding or teaching swim lessons
- Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications or the ability to obtain the certification at the time of hire
Pay
The compensation for this position ranges from $18.50 - $20.40/hour. Minimum rates may vary based on local wage laws. Pay is dependent on factors including site location, specialty, certifications and work experience as well as other business needs.
