Qualifications
- Valid Colorado teaching license preferred; however, other candidate credentials will also be considered.
- Must possess strong, comprehensive knowledge of the sport.
- Experience working with middle and/or high school athletes.
- Ability to work as an integral part of the coaching staff.
- Must be knowledgeable about proper fitness and conditioning techniques for athletes and have a current First Aid certificate or equivalent.
- Must complete state or local Special Olympics coaching certifications.
Performance Responsibilities
Specific performance responsibilities will be discussed during the application/interview process. Special consideration will be given to staff employed within the district.
Training
- Mandatory Title IX training is required by the Colorado Department of Education for all public-school employees.
- Two mandatory training courses must be completed within 30 days of the date of hire.
