Summary
Summary Head coaching responsibilities include management of all facets of the Men’s Golf program including but not limited to: coaching/teaching, recruiting, budget management, administration, scheduling of competitions, team travel, weekly practice sessions, hiring and supervision of assistant coaches/graduate interns, community service, student development, and compliance with NCAA, conference and college rules and regulations. This is a part-time, 12-month position.
Essential Functions
- Develop a program of athlete recruitment commensurate with the aims and goals of Regis College and appropriate for a member of NCAA Division III.
- Plan, organize, and coordinate practices, training sessions, and competitive strategies for intercollegiate competition.
- Determine policies and procedures for team selection, athlete participation, and team conduct.
- Cookordinate and make recommendations regarding competition schedules, facility usage, and program budgets.
- Track the academic progress of men's golf student-athletes and provide appropriate support, guidance, and referrals to campus resources to promote academic success and degree completion.
- Manage inventory, maintenance, storage, and replacement of all team equipment, uniforms, and program-related supplies.
- Effectively manage the program operating budget, ensuring responsible stewardship of resources related to recruiting, travel, equipment, and other program expenses.
- Develop and implement internal and external fundraising initiatives and alumni engagement efforts to support program enhancements, special projects, training opportunities, and other non-budgeted expenses.
- Organize and oversee community service and civic engagement activities that align with the missions of Regis College, the Department of Athletics, and NCAA Division III.
- Select, supervise, and evaluate graduate intern (Assistant Coach) and all support staff for the men’s golf program.
- Coordinate team travel, lodging, meals, and transportation arrangements for away competitions.
- Monitor and maintain accurate records related to recruiting, eligibility, compliance, budgets, schedules, rosters, and team operations.
- Evaluate game officials and provide feedback as required by conference and NCAA guidelines.
- Foster an inclusive, positive, and student-centered team culture that supports the holistic development of student-athletes.
- Collaborate with the Office of Admission to support institutional recruitment and retention goals through successful student-athlete recruitment efforts.
- Participate in Department of Athletics staff meetings, professional development opportunities, campus events, and departmental initiatives.
- Assist with athletic event management, game administration, and other departmental responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Athletics.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; master’s preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to recruit and retain academically qualified student-athletes in support of institutional enrollment goals.
- Previous collegiate coaching and recruiting experience preferred.
- Knowledge of NCAA Division III philosophy and commitment to the student-athlete experience.
- Strong organizational skills and computer literacy required, including familiarity with EMR software.
- Appropriate certifications in First Aid/CPR and AED are required within an appropriate time of hire and must be completed (per NCAA regulations) before the beginning of the competitive season.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel for recruiting and competition purposes.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills to work with various college constituencies.
- Ability to work a flexible and irregular schedule.
- Ability to work well as a team member or independently.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks with attention to detail, problem solving and follow-through to consistently meet expectations and deadlines.
- Strong management skills and mentoring ability for interns and assistants.

Compensation
$20,000 - $24,000 annually.
