Head Coach, Alpha - $150,000/year USD

What You Will Be Doing

• Facilitating one-hour live workshops on life skills (public speaking, focus, giving and receiving feedback) for K-8 (elementary and middle school) cohorts, adhering to Alpha's playbook instead of creating content independently
• Conducting motivation sessions that leverage student analytics and Alpha's incentive model (school currency, leaderboards) to achieve 100% goal completion among students
• Developing Guides through coaching focused on program fidelity and standards enforcement, ensuring every session generates concrete action items for improvement
• Managing your own student cohort concurrently with your responsibility for Guide development
• Monitoring student satisfaction scores, goal completion rates, and Guide performance data on a weekly basis to identify underperformance early

What You Won’t Be Doing

• Lecturing or providing academic tutoring to students
• Creating curriculum or developing original lesson plans
• Coaching Guides on pedagogical methods
• Allowing flexibility when a student achieves 99% rather than 100%
• Maintaining the standard demonstrates your confidence in their capability
• Serving as the campus empathy anchor

Basic Requirements

• Willing to work on-campus in Atlanta, GA; Oklahoma City, OK; Tulsa, OK; Austin, TX; Keller (Fort Worth), TX; The Woodlands (Houston), TX (relocation support provided)
• Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Business, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in education, learning and development, coaching, youth leadership, or a comparable field
• Track record of leading a team of 5 or more adults, including hiring and making performance-based termination decisions
• Direct experience working with kids aged 5-14 in an educational or developmental setting
• Built, launched, or significantly grew a program, team, business, school, or initiative from the ground up
• Proven use of data and metrics to set weekly goals and drive decisions, not just report results
• Likely legally authorized to work in the United States or Canada

Nice-to-have Requirements

• Master's degree in Education, Psychology, Organizational Leadership, or a related field
• Experience coaching athletics, leading wilderness or experiential programs, directing camps, or managing youth ministry at a scale requiring cohort management and outcome measurement
• Transitioned out of classroom teaching to build or manage programs in another capacity: EdTech, tutoring enterprises, youth nonprofits, or school intervention initiatives
• Early-career record of exceptional individual performance—academic, athletic, or professional—prior to entering leadership roles
• Conviction that the current education system is fundamentally flawed and personal commitment to its redesign

Working with us

• This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position
• The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record
• The compensation level for this role is $75 USD/hour, which equates to $150,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year
• The payment period is weekly
