About the Role
You will manage the Site Process Engineering team to ensure proper project management and successful completion of project work. You and your team are responsible for leading site-based process engineering projects and activities that drive continuous improvement, resolve chronic manufacturing issues, introduce new products or re-site existing products. This position also supports and deploys GBU-wide best practices and manufacturing standards along with supporting new capital investments and technology common across Composite Materials Manufacturing sites.
This position includes building a broad network across functions and other manufacturing locations. Significant effort is spent to develop you for your next position within the organization while you will spend a significant effort in developing your team for their next position. There are various technical and operational ladders available for development for you and your team.
Flexibility to travel to other locations and work outside normal working hours as required by the projects (could be 5-10% travel).
Responsibilities
- Promote an observable culture of process safety, quality, and customer service within their organizational control.
- Support the short-term tactical requests from the site-based team while managing the long-term strategic projects set forth by the global process engineering team.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (Engineering Preferred).
- 10+ years experience in quality/manufacturing/process engineering preferred.
- 2+ years experience in managing engineers preferred.
- Previous experience in quality/process engineering function in a manufacturing environment as well as leading a team.
- Continuous improvement background with demonstrated experience in problem-solving and root cause analysis.
- Preferably has experience in composite material / adhesive material manufacturing or other similar continuous web process industries (paper, film, foil, or textile industries).
- Six Sigma Black Belt certification (preferred).

- Excellent organizational skills, ability to multi-task.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and value chain.
- Understand key operational metrics and communicate across the organization to achieve clear alignment and focus.
- Understanding of quality systems, ISO9001/AS9100 requirements.
- Understanding processes to engage cross-functional teams to solve quality and process capability problems.
- Able to mentor and help develop and lead a team of Process Engineers.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Manage priorities and multitask from a number of sources.
- Data-driven, strong analytical skill set.

Pay
The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $115,000 - $150,000 per year. Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate, we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.
