HDD Field Mechnic

About the role

The HDD Field Mechanic is responsible for repair and maintenance on various machines and equipment used for Horizontal Directional Drilling.

Responsibilities

• Performs maintenance on HDD equipment.
• Tests equipment and completes preventive maintenance such as engine tune-ups, oil changes, replacing filters, and hydraulic testing.
• Maintains equipment's functional condition by repairing engine failures, repairing mechanical and electrical systems malfunctions, replacing parts and components, and repairing body damage.
• Maintains records by recording service and repairs.

Qualifications & Required Knowledge/ Skills

• Willingness to travel.
• At least 2 years of work-related experience with construction or utility related equipment repairs.
• Experience with hydraulics and electrical diagnostics is beneficial.
• CDL license a plus.
• Valid Driver License required.
• Able to bend, kneel, stand, walk for long periods of time.
• Able to lift, push, pull 20+ pounds regularly.
