About the role

The Senior Drupal Web Developer is responsible for development, configuration, and maintenance of ITS-supported sites.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all Drupal websites developed and delivered are usable, functionally accessible, responsively designed, and compliant with NYS standards and best practices.
• Utilize an Enterprise Platform solution (Drupal) to improve service delivery by leveraging current technologies and industry best practices.
• Develop Drupal theming, custom functionality, module development, frontend, and/or backend development.
• Utilize PHP, JavaScript/jQuery, and HTML/CSS/Twig templating.

Requirements

• 64 months of experience in custom Drupal module development, including modules, features, and themes.
• 48 months of experience using Acquia, SearchStax, SOLR.
• 48 months of experience using standard Drupal modules such as CTools, Views, Panels, and extending them through code.
• 64 months of experience working with current HTML and CSS standards on websites, including using SASS to extend CSS for website themes.
• 64 months of programming experience with PHP.
• 64 months of experience in web graphical, browser, and cross-platform compatibility testing and creating sites with responsive design.
• 48 months of experience using GIT.
• 64 months of programming experience with JavaScript and jQuery.

Qualifications

A Senior Web Developer is a programmer who specializes in the development of World Wide Web applications or applications run over HTTP from a web server to a web browser. The candidate must have 60–84 months of experience, be able to work independently without assistance, provide guidance to others, and may have advanced education.
