DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs HAZMAT locker inspections and training in accordance with policies and procedures for Pacific Missile Range Facility (PMRF).
- Conducts monthly inspections of HAZMAT custodian lockers out in the field.
- Provides clerical and administrative tasks within the Supply & Logistics Department.
- Maintain time management to accomplish deadlines and requirements.
- Perform quality control inspections on property and tools as required.
- Provide HAZMAT Custodial training for newly established personnel.
- Contact and provide superior customer support as required in regards to HAZMAT requirements for any operations.
- Perform all data entry and tracking into the N-ERP and the HMM Tool system.
- Transport HAZMAT as referenced in the Performance Work Statement (PWS).
- Ensure compatibility of hazmat that’s stored in warehouse and locker locations.
- Provide superior customer service to the customers.
- Train, mentor and provide technical guidance to lower-level HAZMAT personnel.
- Perform any other tasks as directed by the supervisor and Department manager.
REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION
- A high school diploma or equivalent is minimum required education.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Five (5) years of Supply & Logistics background.
- Experience in Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of Inventory management and accountability.
- Knowledge of basic hazardous materials and Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
- Must be self-motivated and be able to work independently.
- Must work well with co-workers and customers.
- Must be capable of operating material handling equipment (MHE).
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Four (4) years’ experience in HAZMAT is desired.
REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Secret security clearance is required. (Applicants selected either must currently possess a Secret clearance or will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain clearance prior to commencement of employment and maintain a security clearance for access to classified information or Closed/Restricted Areas throughout duration of employment.)
