HazMat Industrial Services Driver/Tech - CDL (A)

Operate trucks and heavy equipment to transport, clean up, and dispose of industrial hazardous and non-hazardous waste in compliance with all regulations. Respond to customer spills and emergencies during and after business hours.

Responsibilities

• Operate light and heavy equipment including tanker, roll-off, liquid and turbo vacuums, box trucks, tractor trailers, skid steer, forklift, pumps, and pallet-jack.
• Respond to customer spills and emergencies during normal business hours and after hours.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip Department of Transportation inspections and maintain vehicle logs.
• Maintain general housekeeping, including equipment and site upkeep.
• Perform Less-than-truckload (LTL) pickups and full truck loads.
• Maintain company equipment and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Maintain documentation of manifests and work orders.
• Process hazardous and non-hazardous materials as needed.
• Assist in maintaining good housekeeping at facility and on grounds.
• Function as technician on lab pack, field service projects, and Industrial Service field projects.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Valid Class A commercial driver’s license.
• Ability to pass 40-hour HAZWOPER Training upon hire.
• HazMat endorsement preferred.
• Ability to use heavy and light equipment such as tanker, vacuum truck, forklift, and pallet-jack.
• Skilled in using hand and shop tools, and instruments.
• Demonstrates accuracy, thoroughness, and attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize, stay focused, and handle multiple, diverse responsibilities.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $26.25 to $36.07 per hour, reflecting the minimum wage in multiple jurisdictions. The actual range will depend on the locality in which you are hired.
