Hazard Material Custodian

Responsibilities

• Pick up trash and replace with trash liners
• Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors
• Vacuum, mop, and sweep all floor areas
• Dust, wall spot, clean all glass, polish, sanitize all areas
• Wash, clean, wipe down, sponge, rinse, scour and disinfect any assigned work area
• Note and report all areas in need of repair and any hazardous condition requiring correction
• Operate floor cleaning and other cleaning equipment
• Have a working knowledge of all in-use equipment and practice infection control, safety, and preventative maintenance procedures
• Have product knowledge of all in-use supplies and ensure a safe working environment
• Meet and adhere to the training requirement required by the contract
• Close and secure all rooms upon exiting
• Follow directions and instructions
• Identify safety and hazards and act accordingly
• Carry out proper cleaning procedures daily

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Preferred. Knowledge, Skills And Abilities:
• Ability to obtain Medical / Occupational Clearance
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to complete task to the highest standards possible
• Ability to deal with frequent interruptions
• Previous work experience preferred
• Adhere to all safety rules and requirements and all policies and procedures
• Ability to lift and/move up to 50 pounds

Physical Demands

• While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear.
• The employee may use repeated motions that include the arms, wrists, hands and/or fingers.
• The employee is occasionally required to walk, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Pay

Up to USD $22.71/Hr.
