Have love to give? Cat fosters needed! Temporary and Forever

About the role

Copper's Cat Commune was started by Mimi Baker with the help of her husband Matt, two people with a real passion for cats. We believe that every cat deserves a chance at a happy life, regardless of the hand life has dealt them. That is what we are here to do. We provide a safe place for those with nowhere else to go. We work with paraplegic cats, fecal incontinent cats, senior cats, basically cats that no one else wants or has the capability to handle. All of our cats are available for adoption if someone truly wants to undertake the level of care that some of our cats need, but we plan to give them a home for life. Our cats have both indoor and safe outdoor access. We have cat enclosures around the property. We have many feral cats as well that have their own enclosures and shelters. Our goal is to ensure that our cats are as happy as they can be. That is the whole purpose of living life. Love cats? Want to help out? Fostering might be your way in! Take a cat or kitten or even a litter of kittens into your home. We provide everything you need to care for them. All you provide is the love. You keep them until we get them adopted! Then if you wish, you can bring in another!

Responsibilities

• Provide love and care for a cat, kitten, or litter of kittens in your home.
• Keep the animal(s) until they are adopted.
• Optionally, bring in another cat after adoption if you wish to continue fostering.

Requirements

• A genuine love for cats.
• A safe home environment suitable for a cat or kitten.
• For regular fostering: provide love and basic care (we supply everything else).
• For Forever Fostering: provide food and love; we handle medical care and setup.

• We cover all medical care, including flea and heartworm treatments, regular vaccinations, and any illness or emergency care.
• If the cat’s diet exceeds your budget, we will assist with food costs.
