Haul Truck Operator

Sites

Elam Construction, a division of Summit Materials, is seeking an Haul Truck Driver to operate Articulated Haul Trucks at aggregate sites regulated by MSHA.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Site Observations and Safety Awareness
• Daily maintenance of the haul truck
• Watch for any potential site or plant problems
• Be alert to site hazards involved with feeding from the load face of material
• Daily Equipment Inspection
• Report safety or mechanical issues to supervisor immediately
• Turn in equipment inspection log daily
• Do not run equipment without performing the inspection
• Equipment Operation
• Operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner
• Maintain control of the equipment
• Productivity
• Seek to produce consistent, high-quality end products under the direction of the foreman and pit supervisor
• Operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner

Skills And Qualifications

• MSHA training a plus but not required
• Professional and courteous attitude towards co-workers and supervisors
• Ready to work in a team environment and assist with other duties as required
