Responsibilities
- Notify hatchery management of any machine issue that could affect chick quality
- Work on Wednesday clean days
- Repair farm buggies
- Fill in for hatchery jobs during absences
- Perform general tasks assigned by management when there are no absences
- Complete any other job duties as requested by hatchery management
- Ensure all GMP's are followed at all times as they relate to safety and animal welfare
- Always use correct PPE for individual job tasks
- Wear hearing protection during chick processing
- Use fall protection when work is over 4 feet from ground level
Working Conditions
- Mostly indoor working conditions with temperatures between 64-100°F
- Outside working conditions vary according to weather
- Required to lift up to 50 lbs
