Hatchery Embrex

This position is responsible for performing various tasks in the hatchery while following all Company Safety and Animal Welfare Policies. Primary responsibility is overseeing the Embrex transfer process of the hatchery.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the egg transfer process.
• Mix vaccine by following the SOP.
• Start up and shut down of transfer equipment.
• Ensure machines are working properly to prevent egg damage.
• Clean and sanitize Embrex machine, buggies, and flats.
• Keep up with vaccine and supplies inventory and notify management when vaccines or supplies need to be ordered.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of storage areas, Embrex equipment, and work area.
• Document machine status and perform light maintenance as required.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to withstand continuous standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. overhead repetitively.
• Ability to squat 50 lbs. repetitively.

Schedule

Monday-Friday with some weekend work or overtime required.
