Harvest Home Therapist Internship
This Master level student internship is in our Harvest Home in Olympia. The Harvest Home is an inpatient program that supports pregnant and parenting women struggling with mental illness and substance use disorders as they focus on recovery.
About the role
BHR is a WDI-approved community behavioral health agency. Behavioral Health Resources (BHR) is a not-for-profit provider of community mental health and substance abuse treatment. BHR has locations in Olympia, Shelton, Hoquiam, and Elma. The agency's mission is to support and strengthen individuals, families, and the community by promoting mental health and substance use disorder recovery. Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field
- Current licensure/certification in relevant field (if applicable)
- Experience working with pregnant and parenting women
- Knowledge of mental health and substance use disorders
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Basic understanding of mental health and substance use disorder treatment models
