About the role
JRI is seeking an In-Home Behavioral Therapy Clinical Intern to support our clients to achieve their goals. This position offers the opportunity to apply your clinical degree and skills towards social justice in daily life.
Responsibilities
- Support clients in identifying and reducing challenging behaviors through individualized behavior plans.
- Work closely with the child and their family to create and implement these plans.
- Utilize home/community based behavioral interventions to empower caregivers to manage youth’s challenging behaviors and promote positive alternatives.
- Collaborate with Behavioral Monitors to coach and model interventions, developed from a positive behavioral perspective through a trauma informed lens.
- Gain numerous skills and competencies in Behavioral Services to bring strength to your existing skills.
Requirements
- Candidates must be working towards a Master's in Social Work degree, with 2nd year students preferred.
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, comfort with technology, and daily access to a reliable, insured vehicle with an active Driver’s License.
- Background and driving record checks will be performed.
