HART Lab Tech Assistant (Hourly)

About the role

You will be responsible for commissioning, troubleshooting, repairing, and starting up HVAC systems and HVAC trainers in the ACC HART lab environment, as well as assisting ACC HART Senior Lab Technicians with all other duties as required to support our students and faculty in day-to-day instructional operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to HART Senior Lab technicians in assisting faculty and students in performing and supporting lab exercises.
• Inventory tools and supplies.
• Clean the lab area.
• Repair lab equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge

• Office administration and bookkeeping principles and practices.
• Specialized discipline knowledge depending on the area of assignment.
• Safety principles and practices as they apply to the area of assignment.

Special Requirements

• 1-year certificate in HVAC or currently working toward certification.
• EPA 608 Universal Certification.
• TDLR Technician Registration.

Physical Requirements

• Work is performed in a variety of settings.
• Subject to standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling, and at times subject to stooping, crawling, and climbing.
• May need to lift heavy objects up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds.
• May be exposed to a variety of temperatures, noise, moving mechanical parts, or chemicals.
• Specific vision abilities may include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to focus.

Pay

$23.00/hour
