Hardware Warehouse Associate - Des Moines

About the role

This position involves loading and unloading commercial doors, frames, and hardware, pulling and labeling hardware orders, and performing various warehouse tasks.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload commercial doors, frames, and hardware for deliveries by hand, pallet jack, and/or forklift.
• Pull, label, and ship hardware orders for customers.
• Prepare outbound paperwork.
• Receive material accurately against picking slips.
• Secure loads with applicable strapping and packaging materials.
• Check loads and deliveries for accuracy against shipping tickets.
• Clean and organize warehouse.
• Put material in proper location.
• Occasional travel to out-of-state job sites to check and organize materials.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age to apply.
• Preferred candidate with commercial hardware experience.
• Must have a clean driving record and valid driver’s license.
• Must pass pre-employment physical fit test, drug screen, and background check.
• Must drive in a safe and efficient manner to limit risk exposures.
• Must be able to safely lift medium to heavy materials up to 100 pounds.
• Frequent to constant standing, lifting, handling, stooping, walking, carrying, kneeling, seeing, punching, bending and reaching.
• Able to complete tasks with limited supervision.
