Hardware Testing Engineer
About the role
Elevate your engineering career by taking center stage in our state-of-the-art GPS test labs, where you will design and implement cutting-edge qualification verification methods for high-performance navigation receivers. In this role, you will champion product quality from initial concept to end-of-life, directly driving the accuracy and reliability of technologies embedded in critical aviation and inertial navigation systems worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and release of advanced test stations, automated procedures, and diagnostic scenarios.
- Analyze system behavior under complex operating conditions to continuously optimize test efficiency and product performance.
- Champion quality by authoring, maintaining, and managing essential test plans, procedures, and formal qualification reports.
- Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to support products through their full lifecycle, from proposal through design validation and field sustainability.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or an equivalent technical discipline.
- Hands-on laboratory expertise operating signal generators, simulators, oscilloscopes, and spectrum analyzers.
- Proficiency with scripting languages like Python for automated test development and execution.
- Strong track record in formal documentation, data processing, configuration management, and cross-functional communication.
Skills
- Bonus Points For Ability or active status to obtain a U.S. Department of Defense security clearance.
- Prior experience managing inertial navigation system testing or complex data manipulation workflows.

Pay
This compensation range is based on a full time schedule. Trimble reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state, or federal law.
