Hardware Technician
Gromelski and Associates, Inc. (GAI) partners with prime contractors to provide professional services in engineering design and documentation, software development and testing, system integration, lab management, field installation, integrated logistics support, training development, multimedia support, and technical system support.
About the role
Performs a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical areas. Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems. Works from schematics, engineering drawings, and written or verbal instructions. Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format. Performs calibration and alignment checks; makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed; prepares prescribed compounds and solutions.
Responsibilities
- Communicate an understanding of acceptance criteria with the customer and team
- Follow best practices for cable management and safety
- Understand basics of ethernet cable running and server racking
- Apply proper marking and attention to detail in all tasks
- Understand basics of drafting, design, and water fitting
- Maintain professional and clear communication both in person and through email
- Foster an inclusive team dynamic and accept feedback from customers or team members
- Consistently meet start times, deadlines, and communication expectations with customers, management, and stakeholders
Requirements
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Must be a U.S. Citizen to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret level clearance
- Positive work attitude and ability to incorporate team ideas
- Consistent delivery on tasking, deadlines, and communication
