Key Responsibilities
- Perform precision soldering and rework of PCB assemblies, including SMT components and BGAs
- Assemble electromechanical systems, wiring harnesses, and prototype hardware
- Execute Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and hardware modifications
- Perform functional testing and validation using software-driven test tools and fixtures
- Troubleshoot and diagnose hardware issues using standard lab equipment
- Document test results and communicate findings to the engineering team
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in electronics assembly, hardware technician, or similar roles
- Experience with micro-soldering and rework under a microscope
- Experience soldering and reworking SMT components down to 0402 package sizes
- Familiarity with BGA rework techniques
- Experience building and testing electronic or electromechanical products
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship
Preferred Qualifications
- IPC-A-610 and/or IPC-7711/7721 certification
- Experience testing consumer electronics or similar products
- Experience using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other electronic test equipment
