About the role
We are seeking an experienced Hardware Engineering Manager to lead the design, development, validation, and productization of advanced high-speed networking and embedded computing hardware platforms. The ideal candidate will combine strong hands-on hardware engineering expertise with proven engineering team management experience. You will lead multidisciplinary teams across hardware, FPGA, mechanical, ECAD, manufacturing, compliance, and software engineering.
Responsibilities
- Lead hardware development from system architecture through production release and sustaining engineering.
- Manage and mentor a multidisciplinary hardware engineering team.
- Lead development of high-speed networking and embedded computing platforms.
- Oversee board-level design, PCB development, prototyping, validation, and hardware bring-up.
- Apply expertise in high-speed signal integrity, SerDes, EMC/EMI, and power integrity.
- Review PCB stackups, materials, board construction, and layout for high-speed applications.
- Support hardware debugging, validation, compliance, and production readiness.
- Collaborate with FPGA/RTL, software, mechanical, manufacturing, ECAD, and compliance teams.
- Support NPI, manufacturing transition, production yield improvement, and sustaining engineering.
- Drive technical roadmaps, design reviews, product quality, and engineering priorities.
- Provide technical leadership, coaching, and career development to engineering team members.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 10+ years of hardware engineering experience.
- Proven experience managing and developing engineering teams.
- Strong experience designing and productizing high-speed networking equipment.
- Hands-on experience with board-level hardware design and development.
- Strong understanding of high-speed signal integrity and PCB design.
- Experience with EMC/EMI design and compliance troubleshooting.
- Experience with high-performance processors and embedded platforms.
- Knowledge of PCB stackups and PCB material selection.
- Experience taking hardware products from architecture/design through production release.
Preferred Qualifications
- FPGA-based hardware development experience.
- High-speed SerDes/Ethernet experience.
- Signal integrity and power integrity analysis.
- Advanced embedded computing platforms.
- Hardware NPI/productization experience.
- Manufacturing and sustaining engineering experience.
- Experience working with OEMs or technology partners.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary hardware engineering teams.
