About the role

The Hardware Engineering team is a part of the development team and continuously pushes out new products, instruments, consumable devices, and manufacturing automation solutions to generate growth and value for the company.

Responsibilities

  • Documentation using our product lifecycle management system
  • Design, build, and test components in instruments, manufacturing automation, and consumable devices
  • Data analysis and presentation of results, status, and conclusions
  • Attending meetings to brainstorm and contribute ideas
  • Attending meetings and seminars to understand different departmental functions and impact to business

Requirements

  • Must be a currently enrolled student pursuing a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, physics, Bioengineering, or an equivalent
  • Must have completed (at minimum) the sophomore year of college
  • Must be able to work full-time in person during the duration of the internship program

Qualifications

  • Strong logical thinking and good problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent data analysis and presentation skills
  • Ability to learn and act independently with good judgement of when to get help
  • Experience with MS Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Familiarity to programming languages (Python, Adruino, Labview) a bonus
  • Familiarity to CAD (Solidworks) a bonus
  • Familiarity with 3D printing techniques, soldering, and electronics a bonus

Pay

$25/hour

Schedule

Full-time hours during the summer months
