About the role
This is a 6-month contract position working onsite in New Freedom, PA. The role involves performing component-level diagnostics, root-cause analysis of PCBAs, and system isolation for motor/compressor drives, chiller control loops, and industrial protocols.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and root-cause analyze failed PCBAs to component level.
- Isolate and troubleshoot complex system faults in motor/compressor drives, chiller control loops, sensor I/O modules, and industrial protocols.
- Conduct bench testing with oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, power supplies, and thermal cameras.
- Perform hand-soldering, SMD/thru-hole replacement, and trace repairs.
- Document failure trends, track root causes, and write corrective action reports.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in hardware engineering and PCB design.
- Proficiency in component-level diagnostics and root-cause analysis.
- Strong knowledge of power electronics.
- Experience with oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, signal generators, power supplies, and thermal cameras.
- Skilled in hand-soldering, SMD and thru-hole repair, and trace repair.
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols such as Modbus and CAN bus.
- Ability to isolate and troubleshoot complex system faults involving motor/compressor drives, chiller control loops, and sensor I/O modules.
- Proficient in documenting failure trends and writing corrective action reports.
Pay
Up to $42/hour W2 based on skill set and location.
