Hardware Engineer

A10networks seeking a hands-on Hardware Engineer to support the development, validation and deployment of new hardware products and servers. This role will work closely with Hardware, Software, QA, Manufacturing, and other cross-functional teams to ensure products are properly tested, configured, documented, and supported throughout their lifecycle. Responsibilities Execute hardware and system-level testing for new product introduction (NPI) programsPerform system bring-up, validation, and readiness checks for new hardware platformsVerify system checklists and ensure product requirements are met before releaseInstall and configure Linux and other required operating systemsAutomating tests using Python and Tera Term scriptsSet up hardware systems for software development, integration, testing, and debuggingSupport standard and AI server platforms, including initial configuration and functional validationDevelop, maintain, and improve hardware installation documentsSupport component qualification parts and alternative sources.Troubleshoot, debug, repair, and maintain new and legacy hardware systemsProvide sustaining engineering support to Software, QA, and other engineering teamInvestigate hardware issues, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actionsMaintain accurate test results, issue reports, configuration records, and technical documentationCollaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and support project schedules Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experienceExperience with hardware testing, system validation, server bring-up, or hardware integrationFamiliarity with Linux installation, configuration, and basic troubleshootingFamiliarity with Python and scriptingHands-on experience with computer systems, servers, components, cables, peripherals, and test equipmentAbility to read and understand hardware specifications, schematics, installation procedures, and technical documentationStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsExperience supporting software development or QA teams is preferredKnowledge of component qualification, alternate sourcing, or product lifecycle support is a plusAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teamsStrong written and verbal communication skills.Willingness to work hands-on in a lab or hardware integration environmentAbility to safely lift and install servers and networking equipment up to 50lbs A10 Networks is an equal opportunity employer and a VEVRAA federal subcontractor. Compensation will vary based on number of factors, including market demand for specific skills, role type, job level, and individual qualifications. Final salary offers are determined by considerations including, but not limited to, subject matter expertise, demonstrated skill level, relevant experience, geographic location, education, certifications, and training.
