Hardware Development Manager, CPU and Memory Performance Team

AWS EC2 owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS server instances. We support all AWS compute, storage, accelerator servers and ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. Key job responsibilities
- Drive a team to deliver best in class performance of our novel hardware designs from inception, through manufacturing, implementation and maturation
- Ensure all core system components, including CPU and memory, are meeting or exceed the high performance bar, while ensuring performance is healthy across the fleet of EC2 servers
- Organize a team of skilled hardware and system development engineers to partner with our silicon suppliers, ODMs, and internal customers to ensure we maintain a high performing system component roadmap
- Define implementation strategy and report status frequently to senior leadership
- Enable AWS to launch our next generation server designs
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or above in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent
- 10+ years of engineering experience
- 5+ years of engineering team management experience
- 8+ years of planning, designing, developing and delivering cloud hardware experience with primary focus on CPU and memory
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams
- Experience managing multiple concurrent programs, projects and development teams in an Agile environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering or equivalent
- 10+ years of engineering team management experience
- Experience partnering with silicon providers and ODMs
- Experience designing and developing large scale, high-performing applications
