We are seeking an experienced Hardware development lead for end-to-end validation and verification efforts for advanced robotics and mobile manipulation systems. This role requires deep expertise in hardware and software, with the ability to build and scale comprehensive test strategies for complex electromechanical systems operating in dynamic industrial environments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and grow a multi-disciplinary hardware engineering team developing verification and validation plans for HW
  • Drive the overall hardware verification and validation strategy aligned with product development roadmaps
  • Partner with HW multi-disciplinary teams to deliver safe, reliable, and scalable robotic solutions
  • Plan ahead to avoid hardware defects and drive any problems to zero
  • Thrive in an entrepreneurial and ambiguous environment, making high-judgment decisions with incomplete information

About the team

You'll join a team building next-generation robotic systems designed for real-world industrial environments. We integrate autonomy, dexterous manipulation, and robust mechanical design to create systems that work safely and reliably alongside people. This role reports to senior technical leadership and collaborates across hardware engineering, software development, applied science, and operations teams.

Basic qualifications

  • 3+ years of engineering team management experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience in manufacturing, process, or industrial engineering
  • Experience developing and testing mechanical robotics equipment
  • Experience in system-level integration
  • Experience in hardware design and validation of components, subsystems and systems

Preferred qualifications

  • Master's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • Knowledge of MS Excel, AutoCAD, MS Project, and software for technical document writing such as Visio, Word, or PowerPoint
  • Experience in technical leadership of development, testing, and implementation of large-scale, complex technology projects
