Hardware Development Engineer Level 1

About the role

The Engineering Technician, Level 3 will join the Production Engineering Team supporting Manufacturing. The role is located near downtown Milwaukee, WI and will not support candidates with visa requirements. Primary consideration will be given to candidates from the Milwaukee area. This role is a contract status.

Responsibilities

• Use of manufacturing, test, development or diagnostic equipment
• Experience with UL and EMC testing is preferred
• Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions
• Uses layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout and troubleshooting functions
• Assists in the design, construction, test and check-out of test equipment

Requirements

• Experience working with circuit boards is extremely important
• Likely to do soldering and reworking of boards
• IPC-610 certification a plus

Qualifications

Strong experience working with circuit boards is extremely important. Any experience with UL and EMC testing is a distinct advantage.

Skills

• Uses manufacturing, test, development or diagnostic equipment, including, but not limited to thermocouples, Thermochanbers, and an ESD gun
• Works on assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgment resolving issues

$28-32/hr. plus OT
