Hardware Design Engineer - Farmington Hills, MI

Job Description The Hardware Design Engineer that will be responsible for the design and development of various embedded systems, including both hardware and some firmware design. The engineer will have a detailed knowledge of the product functional specification, will conduct design reviews, and resolve product design issues. The candidate should have minimum 2-5 years of engineering work experience and an understanding of embedded hardware and software design. Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To Developing/reviewing project work plansGenerate functional specifications based on product requirementsGenerate design specificationsResolve issues found during the product development cycleParticipate in design reviews To succeed in this role, you will need to have the following skills and experience: Embedded hardware and software designWorking understanding of CAN and LIN vehicle networksKnowledge of embedded RTOS and / or Embedded Linux systemsExperience with embedded systems debugging (JTAG/UART/Oscilloscopes/Logic Analyzers)Experience with electronics CAD systems (Altium experience a plus)PCB design of complex multi-layer circuit boardsGithub experience requiredFamiliarity with CAN analysis softwareProficient in Microsoft Office productsFriendly and flexible team playerExcellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.2+ years of experience in embedded hardware and/or software design2+ years of vehicle network (CAN/LIN) experienceThis position is located in our Farmington Hills, MI office, this is not a remote or hybrid position.
