Position Overview
As a Hard Goods Inventory Specialist, you will reconcile inventory discrepancies and research situations related to the accuracy of inventory. You will also be responsible for filing claims, physical inventories, cycle counting, data entry, and general office duties.
You must be able to work in an ever-changing environment and be able to coordinate daily workflow with other individuals within the facility. Additionally, you must be flexible in handling workload changes, interruptions, and be able to return to the task that you were performing.
The position will report directly to the Inventory Supervisor. Interacts with Warehouse, Receiving, and Purchasing.
Job Duties
- Audit daily hardgoods picking operations
- Cycle counts hardgoods for daily/weekly order fulfillment and report exceptions
- Perform physical count of inventory/cycle counts and balance inventory records
- Aid in maintaining an efficient cycle count system that meets the workflow of the business
- Aid in auditing, preparing for, and executing a 5-week inventory reoccurring schedule based on locations
- Run reports in NAV and validate cycle counts performed daily as assigned to hourly people
- Act as liaison between Warehouse, Receiving, and Purchasing through strong lines of communication
- Aid in coordinating seasonal flow of materials and SLOB in point of use storage areas
- Report inventory issues to help improve the processes
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- 1-3 years combined warehouse/inventory control experience
- Strong PC skills including Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Strong math, reading, communication (both verbal and written), and problem-solving skills
- Ability to pay attention to detail to ensure accuracy
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment, self-starter, energetic, and results-oriented
- Ability to handle multiple and diverse tasks under deadline pressure
- Ability to work with all levels of employees and management
- Associate Degree in Accounting, Manufacturing, or Supply Chain (preferred)
