Handyman/Carpenter

About the role

Ace Handyman Services offers flexible, independent W-2 positions for multi-skilled professionals specializing in various home repair, maintenance, and improvement tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of tasks including basic repair and installation, door and window installation and repairs, crown molding, flooring, tiling, fencing, gutters, siding, decks, ramps, and power washing.
• Handle electrical fixtures, ceiling fans, GFCIs, outlets, switches, exterior lights, dimmers, ballast replacement, troubleshooting, lighting installation, drywall repair and installation, painting and staining, and kitchen, bath, basement, family room, bedroom, den, and basement renovations.
• Work independently and occasionally collaborate with other professionals as needed.

Requirements

• Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
• Successful track record in home repair and renovation.
• Excellent communications skills for working with clients and colleagues.
• Good overall knowledge of multiple trades such as carpentry, tiling, painting, drywall, flooring, and ability to perform minor electrical and plumbing tasks.
• Own a standard set of tools for all trades mentioned.
• Late model work truck or van.
• Valid driver's license.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong documentation and invoicing skills.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Desire to be part of a team.
• Prior home inspection experience and estimation skills are a plus.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.

Qualifications

Must be able to work out of your home, travel to job sites in the Wichita area, and provide quality craftsmanship and customer service.
