About the Role

Honey Homes is hiring experienced handymen and remodelers to work on a dedicated territory of 40‑50 homes or on larger residential projects. You will work near where you live, with steady, well‑paid work and no client hunting, unpredictable schedules, evenings, weekends, or on‑call duties.

Ways to Work With Us

• Dedicated Handyman: Serve a small group of homeowners in a local territory, visiting on a regular schedule and becoming the trusted handyman each homeowner calls.
• Remodeling Technician: Join a crew on multi‑day residential projects such as exterior repaints, dry‑rot repair, decks, fences, doors, trim, and bathroom refreshes that involve plumbing and electrical work.

Both roles offer the same pay, hours, and benefits. The work is sold and scheduled before you arrive—no bidding, invoicing, or chasing clients.

Compensation and Benefits

• Hourly rate: $31‑$36/hr (approximately $65,000‑$75,000 per year)
• Sign‑on bonus: $1,500 paid in full after completing training and 30 days of employment
• Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm (no nights, weekends, overtime, or on‑call)
• Time off: 12 paid holidays plus 13 PTO/sick days

Responsibilities

• Perform residential repair, maintenance, and remodel work across multiple trades
• Carpentry: doors, trim, framing, dry rot repair, decks, fences
• Painting and drywall patching
• Plumbing: toilets, faucets, valves, minor pipe repairs
• Electrical: fixtures, outlets, switches, ceiling fans, small wiring tasks
• Install smart‑home devices
• Provide outstanding customer service and build strong homeowner relationships
• Use the company app to track jobs, tasks, and schedules

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a handyman, maintenance technician, remodeler, or multi‑trade professional
• Hands‑on skill in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, and drywall
• Prior work as a maintenance technician, carpenter, plumber, or electrician strongly preferred
• Experience in residential home repair and upkeep across multiple trade areas
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving ability; able to assess and fix most home issues independently
• Attention to detail (clean caulk lines, professional patching and painting)
• Customer‑friendly attitude: good listener, strong communicator, proactive
• Reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and personal tools
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lb regularly (with or without reasonable accommodation)
• Comfortable working on ladders or scaffolding at heights up to 12 ft
• No contractor, electrical, or plumbing license required; permitted work is handled separately
