Hand Press Operator, 1st shift

About the role

We offer competitive wages and have a sign-on bonus available. This role will provide full training. Successful candidates will be looking for a hands-on role, have strong math skills, and are mechanically inclined. Once trained you will set up and operate a wide variety of automatic or semi-automatic machines used in the production of our products. You will work from process sheets or written/verbal instructions given by the supervisor to perform production tasks.

Responsibilities

• Accurately following and interpreting instructions, procedures and drawings.
• Setting-up, operating and maintaining equipment used in the production of the company's product in order to carry out manufacturing processes.
• Verifying quality of product at the required intervals and verify accuracy of all work.
• Making in-process inspections.
• Checking and inspecting operation results against predetermined tolerances.

Requirements

• A High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be able to lift 50lbs unassisted.
• Math skills – ability to complete basic calculations e.g. converting fractions to decimals.
• Knowledge of measuring tools such as dial calipers, micrometers, tape measures, etc. required.
• Experience in manufacturing setting is strongly desired.

Pay

Salary/hourly rate: $20.00 - $22.80

Schedule

Hours: 1st shift: Monday-Friday (8:00am-4:30pm)
