Hand Assembler - 1st and 3rd Shift - Smyrna TN Plant

Duties & Responsibilities

• Sorts, counts, labels, and packages components or products.
• Verifies packaging for loose components, debris, setup parts, or test parts.
• Visually checks the station for correct tooling and clinch finger tightness.
• Checks components against prints to ensure correct parts in trays.
• Verifies components with travel cards and work order cards as a double check.
• Turns on the machine, ensuring all guards are in place and light curtains are operational.
• Plays band and housing on the mandrel and presses with a foot pedal.
• Performs quality checks as per the control plan and fills out documentation.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of the assembly area.
• Ensures compliance with safety procedures and guidelines.
• Reads blueprints, schematics, or similar documentation and builds according to specifications.
• Uses various machines and hand tools to accomplish assigned tasks.
• Maintains logs, records, and reports concerning production, machine maintenance, and product inconsistencies.
• Maintains equipment and conveyors and performs basic repairs when needed.
• Collaborates with team members to meet production targets and deadlines.
• Adheres to company policies and procedures.

Required Skills & Abilities

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Able to read and understand blueprints and schematics.
• Detail-oriented and consistent.
• Works well as a productive member of a team.
• Basic ability in mathematics, reading, or writing.

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of related machine operation experience required.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and/or sitting and reaching with hands and arms.
• May occasionally climb stairs, drive vehicles, and operate equipment.
• Must be able to lift 40 pounds at a time.
