Join Fresh Mark as a Ham Packaging Team Member in Salem, Ohio. We are hiring for both 1st and 2nd shifts and seek dependable individuals for a fast-paced manufacturing environment. No prior food manufacturing experience is required—training is provided.

About the role

As a Ham Packaging Team Member, you will package, inspect, label, and prepare quality ham products while supporting food safety, quality, and production goals. This role is ideal for those interested in careers in manufacturing, food production, packaging operations, or general labor.

Responsibilities

  • Package, wrap, seal, and prepare ham products for shipment
  • Inspect products for quality, appearance, weight, and specification compliance
  • Weigh and label products accurately
  • Operate or assist with packaging equipment and production machinery
  • Monitor product quality throughout the packaging process
  • Move materials and finished products throughout the department
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations and equipment
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and quality standards
  • Work efficiently to meet production goals and daily targets
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
  • Follow all company safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Perform general labor duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Ability to work in a cool food manufacturing environment
  • Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
  • Frequently bend, twist, reach, push, pull, and perform repetitive tasks
  • Lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly
  • Work in a fast-paced production environment
  • Work overtime and weekends when necessary
  • Demonstrate reliable attendance and dependability
  • Follow all company safety, quality, and food safety procedures

Pre-employment drug testing is required. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.

  • Manufacturing experience
  • Food production experience
  • Packaging experience
  • Machine operation experience
  • Warehouse experience
  • Assembly line experience
  • General labor experience

Pay

  • 1st Shift: $15.00 per hour
  • 2nd Shift: $16.50 per hour (includes shift differential)

Employees may increase earnings through skill development, department progression, and advancement opportunities.

Schedule

  • Full-time, Monday–Saturday
  • Overtime may be required based on production needs
  • 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM
  • 2nd Shift: 4:00 PM – 12:30 AM

Specific shift placement will be discussed during the interview process.
