About the role

As a Merchandiser, you will work independently to showcase your organization and time management skills, build retailer relationships, and represent Hallmark. You will partner with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and assist with seasonal resets and installations as needed. Occasionally, you may support displays for other companies within the stores you service.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day engagement: Restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark products inside and outside the Hallmark department using a Hallmark-provided mobile device; use technology for daily tasks, supervisor communication, time reporting, feedback, and merchandising activity surveys; interact professionally and courteously with store employees, management, and customers; maintain responsibility for the entire Hallmark product display at assigned stores.
• Holiday support: Provide additional days and extended hours around key holidays (Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas), including possible work on the holiday itself and weekends.
• Department resets: Participate in installations and resets such as building and installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments and products; typically notified two weeks in advance; may require evenings or weekends.
• Team support: Collaborate with a network of merchandising professionals to assist other team members in their territories as needed.

Physical Requirements

• Physically demanding role requiring energy and urgency.
• Work on the selling floor and in back stockrooms.
• Frequently push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds; occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Kneel, squat, walk, stand throughout the day; may climb stairs and step ladders.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• Able to read, write, and understand English.
• Ability to grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
• Able to operate a digital hand-held device to open and read documents and interpret information.
• Access to a Wi-Fi network and the internet.
• Access to consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.

Pay

Starting hourly pay rate is $16.00 – $18.00 per hour, based on skills and experience.

Schedule

• Part-time position with a variable schedule during the work week.
• Average weekly hours: 10–12 hours.
• Required availability the week before and after major holidays, including weekends.
• Availability to support season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.
